About the PositionWe are seeking a motivated and compassionate registered nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care to join our multidisciplinary adult care team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital. As a psychiatric nurse, you will provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults suffering from various psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders.
Under the general direction of the Team Leader, you will implement individual and/or group therapies following the development of a care plan. Your role involves liaising with other members of the health team and persons in the community to maximize community functioning and reduce acute care service utilization.
As a key member of our team, you will participate in educational services, program development, and policy recommendations, bringing your psychiatric nursing perspective to the table. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Required Qualifications- Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
- Current CPR and Blood Glucose Monitoring certification
- Post-graduate psychiatric nursing course or Canadian Nurses Association certification program in psychiatry
