Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and evidence-informed nursing care to patients with acute medical and surgical needs.
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Administer medications, perform various medical procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Recent medical/surgical experience in an acute care setting.
  • Coronary Care I certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Previous cardiac monitoring experience is an asset.
  • Strong patient assessment skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions
