Job Title: Construction Estimator

MNG Builders Inc. is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates of labor and material costs using CADD and other computer software systems
  • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders to recommend awards
  • Set up and monitor cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and timely project completion
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • 30 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Personal Suitability:
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
