Job Summary:
The Senior Auditor is a key role within Citi's Internal Audit team, responsible for performing moderately complex audits and assessments of the company's risk and control environments. This position requires a high level of subject matter expertise and the ability to contribute to the development of new techniques and processes for the area or function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct moderately complex audits, including drafting audit reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor and assess emerging risks, and recommend solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Develop and implement audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines.
- Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to provide timely audit assurance and influence audit scope.
- Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and other team members to ensure a strong understanding of the business.
- Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy in decision-making.
- Act as a subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and other team members.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in risk management, audit, or a related field.
- Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Subject matter expertise regarding audit technology and its application.
- Effective project management skills.
- Effective influencing and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
