About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at ASCENT LOGISTICS LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fluid Maintenance: Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids to ensure smooth operation of heavy equipment.
  • Assist Mechanics: Provide support to our experienced mechanics and perform other duties as directed to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Engine Maintenance: Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment to prevent wear and tear.
  • Greasing and Lubrication: Grease booms, pulleys, buckets, and other components of heavy equipment to reduce friction and prevent damage.
  • Tire Repair and Replacement: Repair and balance tires to ensure safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.
  • Filter Replacement: Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling, to maintain heavy equipment.
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move equipment weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required.
