Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Headwater Equipment Calgary. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on heavy construction equipment, diesel and diesel electric mining machinery, and other heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy construction equipment, diesel and diesel electric mining machinery, and other heavy-duty vehicles
- Run diagnostics and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective parts as needed
- Instruct apprentices and maintain maintenance reports and documentation
- Experience with Cat and/or Komatsu/Deere/Hitachi equipment
- Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road and/or On Road
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license and abstract required
- Ability to work in a team environment and enjoy working with heavy equipment
- Competitive wages ($44-$53/hour) and above
- Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours/day
- Travel time, accommodations, and living out allowance paid for when working on remote job sites
- Guaranteed minimum of 44 hours/week - overtime available and paid at time and a half

We are also a Sany, Rokbak Articulated Trucks dealer, as well as a Cummins, Isuzu, Yanmar, Deutz, and Scania Certified repair center. We run a fleet of late model 3 and 5 Ton service trucks, equipped with crane, welder, charge/boost capabilities, diagnostic laptop and software, 3/4" impact and larger tooling, and additional tooling required for OEM diagnostics.
