Marketing and Communications Director

As the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for leading the direction and leadership of the Marketing and Member Relations team, ensuring marketing, member relations, and communications objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote the cooperative's products and services effectively.
- Oversee talent acquisition, engagement, performance management, and succession planning for the marketing team.
- Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, website, and print materials.
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to identify trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all touchpoints.
- Develop and execute comprehensive member relations plans to promote the co-operative's mission, vision, values, and aspirations.
- Manage member communications, including newsletters, surveys, and member events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members to drive retention and loyalty.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and member relations initiatives through KPIs and analytics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to inform marketing strategies.
- Maintain the cooperative's high standards for customer service and ensure a consistent brand-aligned customer experience.
- Promote the cooperative's Health and Safety Program.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a membership-based organization.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools.
- Proven ability to effectively lead and motivate a team of 1-3 employees.
- Valid class 5 or better driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite of products and ability to learn specialized software quickly.
- Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strives to be the best in what they do.
