We are currently seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. As an Industrial Electrician at Raytheon ELCAN, you will play a key part in the repair and maintenance of our facilities' machines and systems, including multi-axis turning centers, specialized lens manufacturing equipment, and thin film coating chambers.

About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to guide installation, repair, and maintenance activities;">
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards;">
• Conducting routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime or production delays;">
• Troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing problems, and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to production;">
• Planning and coordinating resources and activities within the team, other departments, and external partners as required;">
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs;">
• Complying with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees;">
• Remaining current with developments in electrical technology, industry best practices, and relevant codes and regulations;">
• Sharing in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A valid Ontario Electrician License (442A);">
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in manufacturing working with high-precision machinery (mechanical, optical, and measuring equipment);">
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards;">
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals;">
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults effectively and efficiently;">
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure;">
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards;">
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members;">
• Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule and respond to emergency calls as needed.">

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a salary of approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as benefits and pension plan. The successful candidate will also be required to complete a criminal reference check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
