Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect - Veeva Vault to join our team. As a key player in driving our digital initiatives forward, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and contributing innovative solutions that optimize our digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design comprehensive application solutions that address business needs and challenges, creating architectural designs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for application development projects, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and integration capabilities.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and digital teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring that proposed solutions align with the organization's strategic goals and technology standards.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle, from initial concept through to implementation and support, guiding development teams to ensure adherence to architectural designs and best practices.
  • Design and oversee the integration of new applications with existing systems and software, ensuring seamless operation and data consistency across the enterprise.
  • Ensure application solutions are optimized for performance and user experience, conducting system performance analysis and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure application architectures comply with relevant regulations and standards, incorporating security measures into the design to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Create detailed documentation for application architectures, including design specifications, integration patterns, and deployment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.
  • Regularly report on initiative progress and outcomes/value to your capability lead and team members.
  • Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, data science, or marketing.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated relevant experience in the pharma R&D space, preferably in clinical operations.
  • Direct experience implementing or consulting on known life sciences technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in specific areas of digital capability, such as Veeva R&D Vault.
  • Experience with Veeva configuration and implementation.
  • Technical proficiency in multiple programming languages, databases/data lakes, and cloud platforms.
  • Architectural knowledge of principles and design patterns, microservices, API design, and development methodologies.
  • Analytical skills to analyze complex business processes and associated datasets and create optimal technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and lead development teams.
  • A commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry best practices.
  • Certifications in specific technologies, architecture frameworks, Agile delivery methodologies, and software validation processes can be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of software validation processes and requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile champion with adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
