Job Summary:

As an Early Childhood Educator at Alpha's Discovery Kids, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our children. Your primary role will be to design and implement programs that cater to the diverse needs of our students, ensuring their growth and well-being.



Responsibilities:
  • Childcare and Education: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, while assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead Activities: Tell or read stories, teach songs, and take children to local points of interest, guiding and assisting them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, observing children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration: Establish guidelines for behavior, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess:


  • College Diploma or Equivalent: A College diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a childcare setting, preferably in a lead educator or assistant role.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Current certifications and licenses, including a Vulnerable Sector Check and a Medical Exam.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
