Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Young Dads Ministry Worker to join our team in Oshawa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young fathers and a proven track record of leadership and program development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead programs for young dads in Oshawa, providing practical support and life skills training, as well as emotional and spiritual support through group programming and one-to-one mentorship.
  • Recruit and oversee staff and volunteers in Young Dads programming, ensuring a strong team is in place to support young dads.
  • Network with community partners and churches to effectively run and resource programs, fostering collaboration and partnerships that benefit the Young Dads program.
  • Work collaboratively with the Young Parents team to plan and implement curriculum for the program, ensuring a comprehensive approach to supporting young dads.
  • Participate in Young Parents team meetings, trainings, and fundraisers, contributing to the overall success of the program.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years related experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong personal spiritual vitality and commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Compassionate heart toward young dads, their children and families.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Confidence in relational ministry.
  • Active participation in a local church body.
  • Related experience with youth experiencing marginalization, trauma, mental health challenges.
