Job Summary

BC Housing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Agreement Specialist to lead the development of project agreements between BC Housing and non-profit, public, and private sector partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project leases, housing agreements, and intergovernmental agreements to ensure alignment with program requirements and BC Housing's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and negotiate complex project agreements under various BC Housing funding programs.
  • Design new agreement templates in accordance with new and revised housing program frameworks.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to direct reports on agreement development and negotiation.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in housing program frameworks and related legal requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in public policy, social studies, business administration, or a related field.
  • Considerable experience in drafting and interpreting agreements/contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate and contract law.
  • Ability to analyze contractual requirements and negotiate complex contracts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
