Savings and Retirement Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Savings and Retirement Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Savings and Retirement Operations department, you will be responsible for the administration of new business and in-force transactions for Non-Registered, Registered Retirement Savings Plans, and Tax-Free Savings Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and follow processes for all products, including segregated funds, GIAs, and legacy products.
  • Issue new policies, rollovers, switches, additional deposits, beneficiary changes, title changes, surrenders, and other changes or transactions on new or existing client policies.
  • Assess, process, and complete all administrative service requests from internal and external clients.
  • Provide excellent client relationship and servicing of our advisors, MGAs, policyholders, and wholesaler team through all channels.
  • Reconcile simple accounts by verifying ledger entries, investigating discrepancies, and making basic corrections.
  • Adhere to and participate in Gatekeeper rotation accountabilities, including handling the Gatekeeper queue, indexing/printing items into OnBase, preparing journal entries, investigating and identifying incoming work received, and handling mail.
  • Participate in project work, including annual administrative projects and key projects to support Savings & Retirement department goals & objectives.
  • Continued analysis of current procedures and identify/recommend procedural improvements, providing feedback and updates to procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and cross-training functions to become proficient in all aspects of the role.
  • Provide training to other S&R Administrator staff and Operations team members as required.
Requirements:
  • Bilingual in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Prior experience or knowledge in Savings & Retirement industry, including Market Disruption, Market timing, Frequent Trading, and late Trading policy and procedures.
  • University degree, College Diploma in Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be comfortable working overtime during peak times.
