Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, BC. As a member of our outpatient procedures team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support during minor surgical procedures, wound care, and other outpatient procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document practical nursing care for patients undergoing oscopy, minor surgical procedures, wound care, and other outpatient procedures/consultations.
  • Assist with admission of patients to procedure/consultation rooms and perform intra-procedure/consultation duties for patients undergoing oscopy, in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Perform practical nursing duties during the pre, intra, and post-procedure/consultation periods.
  • Observe and monitor patient conditions during procedures/consultations to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Document patient observations, treatment, and other patient care information during the pre, intra, and post-procedure/consultation periods.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • One (1) year recent relevant clinical experience in minor surgical procedures or other outpatient procedures and completion of relevant course work and/or certification.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification.
