Strategic Project Lead for Government Roadmap Implementation

S.i. Systèmes is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple projects aligned with our 5-year strategic plan and roadmap.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to the success of our Public Sector client. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the Application Portfolio Management team in their investment and planning activities.

The successful candidate will establish a common point of reference for all IT solutions, enabling efforts to remediate Technical Debt and modernize the delivery of programs and services to Canadians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate oversight on the execution of multiple projects delivering on the implementation of a strategic plan and roadmap
  • Plan and coordinate project management activities including financial, planning, and contracting aspects
  • Provide progress briefings and highlight concerns related to project progress
  • Prepare documentation in response to scheduled and unscheduled reports, replies, and observations to update management
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of project teams, stakeholders, contractors, and other support providers
  • Develop formal work breakdown structures and compliance charts
  • Produce draft plans and sections for incorporation into the Project Implementation Plan
  • Prepare draft evaluation plans, criteria, and evaluation schedules
  • Determine and obtain budgetary requirements, composition, roles, and responsibilities for the team
  • Plan, direct, and control the activities of a project team within scheduled time and cost parameters
  • Monitor the design, implementation, and transition to operations of the project against established goals, objectives, and milestones
  • Report progress of the project on an ongoing basis and at scheduled points in the life cycle
  • Meet with stakeholders and project teams to address problems
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to analyze or display problems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • 5+ years of experience working with the Government of Canada
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
