The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bed Allocator to join our team. As a Bed Allocator, you will play a critical role in coordinating room utilization based on patient care requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a liaison between admitting and receiving parties to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Coordinate room utilization to meet patient care needs.
- Work closely with the Manager, Patient Flow & Scheduling to ensure efficient bed management.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- One (1)-year Medical Office Administration certificate.
- Up to six months' previous clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous Meditech experience preferred.
- Well-developed keyboarding/computer skills and experience using Meditech and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple demands.
- Excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills.
