Our Community Health & Services Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Relief Full-time Payroll Administrator to join their team in Kelowna, B.C. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the payroll function and follows established procedures in the preparation and processing of employee data for payroll production, and the updating of employee data files and benefit accumulation within a computerized system. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to inquiries from staff regarding salary, benefits and deductions, payroll related policies and procedures, and making corrections, adjustments or payments as required. The Payroll Administrator will also produce and distribute output such as employee pay statements, pay cheques, and third party and government related correspondence. The ideal candidate will have three years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The successful candidate will also have a current Typing Test of 45 wpm or greater completed within past 48 months from a recognized institution, and a Certificate or Official Transcript showing proof of completion of a recognized Payroll Course. The Payroll Administrator will work in a wonderful working environment with a solid and experienced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the payroll function and will work closely with the team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for responding to inquiries from staff regarding salary, benefits and deductions, and will make corrections, adjustments or payments as required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for producing and distributing output such as employee pay statements, pay cheques, and third party and government related correspondence. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and will be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. The Payroll Administrator will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll procedures and will be able to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and will be required to perform other related duties as required. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and will be able to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations, and will be required to apply this knowledge in a practical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll software and will be able to use this software to perform payroll functions. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for troubleshooting payroll issues and will be required to provide support to staff as needed. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teamwork and will be able to work effectively with the team to achieve goals and objectives. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and will be required to perform other related duties as required.
