Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Lead to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various logistics activities, including leading and managing a team of logistics operators, ensuring timely receipt and shipment of materials, accurately recording logistics data, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of logistics operators to ensure seamless execution of logistics activities.
  • Coordinate the timely receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials to manufacturing and the loading and dispatch of finished products.
  • Accurately record PO receipts and outbound shipment details in our ERP and Warehouse Management System (SAP).
  • Liaise with transport service providers to ensure on-time deliveries of raw materials and outbound shipments to customers.
  • Complete relevant transport documentation and daily activity reports.
  • Report exceptions to supervisor and ensure a positive and constructive work environment through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by keeping the work area clean and clear of hazards and reporting and addressing unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality, and quality.
  • Maintain the required hygiene, safety, and quality standards on the production floor and ensure all Food Safety programs are strictly adhered to.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 (OSSGD) required.
  • Previous forklift truck driving experience is required.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Competent with numbers and able to demonstrate a high degree of PC literacy.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
