Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.


About the Role:



  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials;
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions;
  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques;
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment;
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle;
  • Load and unload goods;
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo;
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes;
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch;
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption;
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy;
  • Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks;
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs;
  • Perform preventive maintenance;
  • Criminal record check;
  • AZ class license;
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have a valid AZ class license and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks). Additionally, you should have good attention to detail, be organized, and have excellent communication skills.


Work Environment: As a truck driver with Roomy Logistics, you will be working outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions. You will also be working independently and as part of a team.
