About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End Software Engineer to join our team in Canada, Waterloo, ON. As a Front End Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing high-performance user interfaces for millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop reusable, cross-platform components that are both scalable and performant.
  2. Ship consumer-facing web applications that set the standard in the industry.
  3. Produce detailed design and development documentation that is clear and comprehensive.
  4. Collaborate with a team of ambitious engineers, designers, and product managers to successfully implement new features.
  5. Diagnose and suggest improvements for client-side performance challenges.
  6. Apply GitHub for source code management and follow CI/CD frameworks to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. At least 3 years of Frontend Software Development experience.
  3. Demonstrable experience in developing high-performance user interfaces.
  4. Passionate about quality and committed to writing clean, readable code.
  5. Deep technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Highly proficient in HTML5 / CSS3, and Node.js.
  2. Experience working on Single Page Applications, React.js or React Native, and Restful APIs.
  3. Understanding of GraphQL and its implementation.
  4. Experience with hybrid native/web applications and WebViews.
  5. Demonstrable ability to diagnose and propose improvements for client-side performance challenges.
  6. Experience using GitHub for source code management.
  7. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
