Medical Policy Nurse

Canadian Addiction Treatment Centres is seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Policy Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.
About the Position:The Medical Policy Nurse will be responsible for developing and delivering harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities for patients with opiate dependency. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, ECGs, and vital sign monitoring.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with opiate dependency
- Administer medications, including methadone, suboxone, and narcotics, as delegated by a licensed physician
- Perform ECGs, venipuncture, and urine drug screening supervision and testing
- Communicate with physicians regarding patient needs and medical abnormalities
- Provide comprehensive program information to current and prospective patients
- Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or a similar field
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health
