About the Role:
The Pharmacy Assistant position at Calgary Co-op is a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock, as well as assisting with inventory counts.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with merchandising and visual displays, ensuring a visually appealing and well-organized store environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on pharmacy operations and customer service best practices.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pass the Calgary Co-op Pharmacy Assistant test.
- Completed a recognized Pharmacy Assistant program (preferred).
- Two (2) years of dispensing experience (desirable).
