Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $73,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including extended health/dental and a municipal pension plan for part-time and full-time employees. Casuals have the option of paying for benefits.

Job Description

As a Dietary Specialist - Regional Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the operation of the NH Regional Diet Office, which serves the needs of patients, residents, and staff in various food operations across Northern Health. You will contribute to the maintenance of the CBORD system, accurately updating patient diets and food preferences, and support Food Service staff in decision-making at all NH sites.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Graduation from a recognized two-year program in Food Service Supervision, plus one year's recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to supervise.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
