Job Description

This position involves providing comprehensive clinical and emergency response care to on-site workers. You will play a key role in building and developing a world-class medical model, utilizing your nursing background to support the safe operation of the shift team.

You will:

  • Monitor compliance to safety rules and standards
  • Provide commitment to the quality, integrity, and value of health services while working with an interdisciplinary team of occupational health and safety professionals
  • Lead treatment room operations, maintaining a deep understanding of principles, concepts, practices, standards, protocols, guidelines, and regulations
  • Oversee clinical teaching activities and protocol development and evaluation
  • Build advanced, comprehensive, and focused health assessments, diagnose health problems, prescribe medications, and order diagnostic investigations as required
  • Support integrated disability case management and facilitate fitness-to-work assessments
  • Be accountable for treatment room initiatives pertaining to on-site workers
  • Communicate effectively with relevant personnel
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per year, along with industry-leading benefits, including referral bonuses, incentives, and a comprehensive package that exceeds industry standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Work experience as a nurse practitioner
  • Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Leadership experience, education, or professional development
  • Current registration with the BCCNP as a Nurse Practitioner in family or adult practice
  • Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, holding a Master of Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Preferable Skills and Qualifications

While not mandatory, possessing the following skills would be beneficial:

  • Experience in industrial, emergency, or critical care settings and health surveillance testing and programs
  • A high level of knowledge and ability to interpret relevant medical and operational guidelines, protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Technical knowledge of health and wellness programs, standards, and processes, including disability case management, return-to-work programs, medical surveillance, and wellness programs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Collaborative mindset and accountability
About Your Work Environment

You will work out of our camp-based client site, enjoying accommodations and meals provided. The working schedule is 14 days on and 14 days off rotation, with on-call and extended hours required after hours when operational and business needs dictate. Travel to other sites may also be necessary.
