About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing inter-disciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories, providing technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites and remediation projects, and coordinating and overseeing Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of inter-disciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories.
- Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites and remediation projects, including investigations, remediation design, and management.
- Coordination and oversight of Phase I, II, and III Environmental Site Assessments.
- Remedial design and site remediation oversight, including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies.
- Peer review of technical documents and reports.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation on major and minor pursuits.
- Project management and coordination of ESA and remediation-related projects, tracking and maintaining budgets and project finances, preparing reports, and maintaining client relationships in various industries.
- May participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
Requirements:
- Degree in earth or environmental sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering, or a similar program.
- 3+ years of consulting experience in the environmental industry with strong experience in applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within a Canadian jurisdiction.
- Technically strong with advanced knowledge of environmental site assessments and various remediation approaches.
- Experience working with diverse multidisciplinary and/or international project teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Financially literate, with direct experience managing project budgets.
- Track record of delivering high-quality work products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook), PowerPoint, EQuIS, and ArcGIS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience working at downstream and/or upstream oil and gas sites.
- Some experience managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K and/or as a project manager or technical designer.
- Professional designation (or the ability to obtain one) as a professional geologist, engineer, biologist, or agrologist in Alberta and/or Saskatchewan.
