Job Title: Information Systems Accessibility Consultant
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems Accessibility Consultant to join our team at Macropus Global. As an Accessibility Consultant, you will work with clients to test and validate user interfaces against accessibility requirements and consult on the effective technical implementation of digital accessibility requirements in client systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Set Definition – Determine the boundaries of the testing environment and identify a representative test set of user interface components found in the client's system.
- Testing – Test client's systems against specific manual tests and assistive technology tools, and enter test results into AMP (Accessibility Management Platform).
- Reporting – Deliver testing results to the client and participate in conference calls and follow-up discussions to create a roadmap to improve the accessibility and usability of the client's IT system.
- Technical Consultation – Consult with customers on the proper methods for implementing digital accessibility in systems, spanning web, mobile, hardware, and document systems.
- Business Process Consultation – Work with customers to consult on the process implementation approach for accessibility in the client's environment.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Accessibility knowledge is a huge plus
Certification/Credentials a PLUS:
- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
- Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Certification
