Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

White'N Green Inc is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscaping services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Work: Plan and coordinate the daily schedule for our landscaping team to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for maintaining our outdoor spaces, including mowing, pruning, and planting.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Estimate the resources required for each project and ensure that the necessary materials and equipment are available.
  • Plan, Manage and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Oversee the construction of new landscapes, including excavation, grading, and planting.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Procure the necessary materials and equipment for projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to team members to improve efficiency and quality of work.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, sod cutter, tractor mower.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Vehicle supplied by employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, team player.
