Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to clients and patrons
  • Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
  • De-escalate crisis situations and provide support to clients and emergency personnel
  • Exercise crowd control and evict trespassers
  • Write clear and detailed reports on incidents, emergencies, and day-to-day activities
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required
  • Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a valid Alberta security license
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong observational skills
  • Ability to make immediate decisions in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
  • Ability to walk 18/20km and stairs
Education and Certification
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Security License
  • Unrestricted Class 5 driver's license (considered an asset)

This position reports to the Security Programs Manager.

Work Schedule

This is an As Needed position, working 1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift, and Weekends.
