Plumbing Technician

Maintenance and repair of plumbing systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings is a key responsibility of this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, as well as experience with pipe installation, repair, and maintenance. Merit Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a plumber.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures and systems in accordance with industry standards and codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
