Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at RhynoCare. This opportunity is for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional care and support to our clients in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Tiverton area.

About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).

Key Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to meet their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs
* Ensure timely and accessible admission for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home
* Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, including medication administration, treatments, and other relevant information
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to residents

Requirements

* Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
* Ability to work with persons with Infectious Diseases
* BLS Certificate
* Valid First Aid & CPR
* Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year as well as Hepatitis B
* Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
* Ability to work independently, or as part of a team
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
* Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends
