About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair complex issues with diesel engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians, supervisors, and management to prioritize tasks, share knowledge, and achieve team goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-7 months of experience in a heavy equipment or transportation maintenance environment.
  • Certifications: Possession of a valid Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
