Are you a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and experience in costing within a manufacturing environment? Our large, global client, a well-known manufacturer in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Senior Cost Analyst to focus on cost analysis, budgeting, planning, and overseeing financial and cost systems.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in costing, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge of SYSPRO. A degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is required. The Senior Cost Analyst will work closely with the ERP system to monitor inventory adjustments and investigate variances, and will interface with departmental and project managers to maintain accurate, updated information on costs and budgets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can work effectively with multiple departments and various internal and external customers. The successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, be detail-oriented, process-driven, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Key responsibilities include tracking and analyzing costs associated with production operations, including materials, labor, and overhead. The Senior Cost Analyst will prepare, monitor, and analyze cost reports, demonstrating commitment to budget and forecast. Additionally, they will work closely with the team to maintain accurate, up-to-date information on costs and budgets.

Requirements

  • University degree or Diploma in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience in costing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • PowerBI knowledge would be an asset.
  • General knowledge of accounting and business operations.
  • SYSPRO experience preferred.
  • Strong auditing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess strong business acumen.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be process driven.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year.
