Job Description

As a Financial Accountant Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts. You will also assist in the preparation of general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, and prepare tax returns.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in bookkeeping and accounting;
  • An education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, MS Word, and Quick Books.

You must have excellent attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and have strong interpersonal skills.
