About the Role

Harlens Trucking LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Trucking Professional to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

We are looking for an organized and hardworking individual with a Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks) to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working condition. You will also be required to perform emergency roadside repairs and receive and relay information to central dispatch.

In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone who can work well as part of a two-person team or convoy, providing excellent customer service and maintaining professionalism at all times. If you have a strong sense of responsibility, are willing to learn and adapt, and can maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections to ensure all aspects of the vehicle are in good working condition.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and respond to mechanical issues.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication and updates.
  • Load and unload goods, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks).
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience in long-haul trucking, with a willingness to train new drivers.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends. You will be required to spend extended periods away from home, sometimes for several days at a time. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential requirements for this position.
