We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Development team, you will be responsible for facilitating the planning and coordination of land development projects, including residential, industrial, hotel, and retail projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating due diligence and feasibility studies for new development opportunities
  • Applying for and tracking deadlines for city applications and construction documentation
  • Facilitating regulatory duties, such as re-zoning, development permits, site plans, and building permits
  • Researching zoning ordinances, construction regulations, and environmental restrictions
  • Assisting in coordinating the work of architects, engineers, construction companies, and property managers
  • Providing general support to the Development team
  • Coordinating with city or government agencies and community groups on property matters
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with city and administration staff
  • Organizing and participating in internal stakeholder meetings

Requirements:

  • Excellent researching skills
  • Understanding of real estate valuation and finance
  • Previous exposure to the analysis, acquisition, entitlement, development, and marketing of residential land
  • Ability to multi-task effectively while remaining detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Land Use Planning, Business, or other related education required
  • One (1) year minimum experience in the residential real estate industry, multi-family residential, and mixed-use projects would be an asset
  • A valid driver's license is required
