Job Title: Residential Counsellor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counsellor to join our team at ROC Society. As a Residential Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with acquired brain injury, intellectual disabilities, and other mental health challenges in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and implement behaviour management programs to address individual needs.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in housekeeping activities, food preparation, and other daily tasks to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • Medication Administration Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate and a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
