Job Title: Residential Counsellor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counsellor to join our team at ROC Society. As a Residential Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health disabilities, and physical disabilities in a group home setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behaviour management programs to promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Liaise with other social services agencies and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide housekeeping and food preparation services to maintain a clean and comfortable living space.
  • Administer medication and provide first aid as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community partners.
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate.
  • Medication Administration Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
