About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head Coach and General Manager to lead our women's soccer team in the inaugural season of the Northern Super League. As the key sport and technical executive, you will be responsible for all aspects of on-field performance, including player recruitment, athlete development, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sport Leadership: Develop a long-term strategic plan that supports the growth and sustainability of our club, including key performance indicators and milestones.
  • Sport Staff Oversight: Recruit and develop coaches, technical, and support staff, and manage staff contracts and negotiations according to League standards.
  • Player Recruitment and Development: Provide guidance on roster requirements, positional profiles, and analysis of the current roster, and oversee scouting, recruitment, negotiation, and onboarding of new players.
  • Game Management: Prepare the team for game day, formulate game strategy, and oversee selection of game day rosters.
  • Budget Management: Manage the technical department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for player acquisitions, staff salaries, and other football-related expenses.
  • League and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all League rules and regulations, as well as applicable rules and regulations of Canada Soccer, FIFA, and other governing bodies.
Requirements
  • Minimum Canada Soccer A License or equivalent international coaching credentials.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in a professional football environment, preferably in the women's game as head coach or assistant coach.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, multi-disciplinary sport performance teams.
  • Some sport business experience preferable.
