Job Title: Bookkeeper

PortageRx Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Office, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, repetitive tasks, tight deadlines, accurate, organized, time management.
Work Environment:

PortageRx Pharmacy is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires strong organizational and time management skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

35 hours per week.
