Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

BLUE NIGHT TRANSPORT LTD. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload goods from trucks
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency
  • Communicate with central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarp and secure cargo to ensure safety and security during transport
  • Transport and handle hazardous materials
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License
  • Bill of lading and driver logbook knowledge
  • Inspection report and documentation skills
  • Experience with flatbed and tractor-trailer equipment
  • Long-haul transportation experience
  • Basic security clearance
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Physical stamina to work in a demanding environment
Working Conditions:
  • 35-40 hours per week
  • Varied work schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
