Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Ontario Inc.

Job Summary:

The Food Counter Attendant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in our kitchen and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Greet customers, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food to order, following recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, store, and inventory food and supplies, ensuring accurate counts and minimal waste.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The Food Counter Attendant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions. The position requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working under pressure.

Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Conventional Oven: Operate a conventional oven to prepare and cook food.
  • Deep Fryer: Use a deep fryer to cook food to order.
  • Electronic Cash Register: Operate an electronic cash register to process customer transactions.
