About the Role:

Guidepoint's Engineering team is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative technology solutions that accelerate revenue growth, reduce costs, and increase efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks to ensure seamless delivery of our services.
  • Automate test cases and design, develop, and execute reusable and maintainable automated scripts to optimize our testing process.
  • Analyze issues related to automated and/or load testing, research and propose solutions, and add, modify, or enhance previously recorded automated scripts to improve our testing efficiency.
  • Analyze test results and determine root causes of issues to guide prioritization for resolution.
  • Provide regular software defect tracking and regression updates and present status and technical reports as required.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and delivering training related to automated test tools and frameworks to enhance our team's skills.
  • Review, establish, and maintain thorough documentation, templates, and process improvements to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Work closely with other engineering team members and departments on technical issues and updates to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology trends and advancements within areas of specialization and incorporate improvements into our testing process.
  • Write test scripts from scratch for manual testing and functional testing to work alongside our scrum pods.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a QA Automation engineering role.
  • Strong experience in automated testing practices and tools, including Selenium or other similar tools and Web Service testing.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), experience with a variety of testing techniques (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM).
  • Experience with performance/load testing.
  • Previous exposure to a ticketing system (Jira preferred).
  • Strong hands-on programming skills with JAVA programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of SOA frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches.
  • Experienced with CI/CD/DevOps methodologies/tools and practical implementation of DevOps processes.
  • Degree in an engineering discipline (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/information Technology/MIS).
