Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for Department staff, including curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training programs are relevant, effective, and aligned with Department goals and objectives
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to managers and supervisors on training-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, outcomes, and evaluations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to administrative and regulatory policies and best practices in training methodologies
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of specialized experience in training or instructional design, preferably in a government or non-profit setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems (LMS)
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The DC Department of Human Resources offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
