Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer in Test to join our agile software development team in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing test plans for our software and hardware modules.

Key Responsibilities


  • Developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality of our software and hardware modules
  • Designing and implementing automated test cases in Python to test new feature functionality
  • Improving system integration testing systems to ensure seamless integration of our software and hardware components
  • Collaborating with our support team to investigate potential software issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Working with other testing teams within the company to develop shared tooling, processes, and resources

Requirements


  • Excellent learning, communication, and teamwork abilities
  • Extensive Python software development experience
  • Detailed knowledge of clean coding practices
  • Experience with automated testing of Windows applications
  • Industry experience with software/hardware testing is an asset
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and QA test processes is an asset
  • Experience with version control, integration testing, and issue tracking is an asset
  • Experience collaborating on software projects with other developers is an asset
  • A strong preference is given towards candidates with degrees in computer science, engineering, and other science and technology backgrounds
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
