Job Opportunity: Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of practice tools relevant to rehabilitation services.

About the Role:

  • This full-time position is responsible for assessing physical disabilities or incapacities linked to the neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiorespiratory systems.
  • The Physiotherapist will establish and carry out treatment plans aimed at achieving optimal functional performance, collaborating with patients, families, and community organizations to support their needs.
  • Additional responsibilities include participating in the development of practice tools pertinent to rehabilitation services and supporting various programs and services within Eeyou Istchee.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Membership in the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec.
  • Two years of relevant experience, preferably in community-based interventions and coordination of service plans.
  • Prior experience working with individuals, families, and community organizations is highly valued.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of physical therapy theory and practice, including current trends and the MSSS Network and regulations.
  • Varied clinical skills, including community health, home care, geriatric, and pediatric experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and analyze client needs.
  • Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge effectively, applied to coaching and training.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are mandatory.
