Job Title: PostgreSQL Database Administrator

CC Pace is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Database Operations group, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our PostgreSQL databases in the AWS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage PostgreSQL database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain database standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues and improve overall database performance.
  • Perform database backups, restores, and upgrades to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to improve query performance and reduce latency.
  • Develop and maintain database reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide insights into database performance and usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL features, best practices, and security patches to ensure our databases remain secure and compliant.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of IT industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in database administration roles, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments, as well as AWS Cloud services.
  • Extensive experience with database technologies, including MySQL and MSSQL.
  • Strong understanding of database security, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certified professional with experience in RDS, IAM, EC2, VPC, and Storage.
  • Experience with cloud database infrastructure management and administration.
  • Extensive experience in HA/DR in major enterprise database systems.
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services.

Competencies:
Action Oriented, Customer Focus, Technical Skills, Problem Solving, Personal Learning, Experience in either the Banking or Financial Industry is preferred.
