Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform housekeeping duties in patient care areas, including dry mopping, wet mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  • Operate various floor machines and equipment.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning goals.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities department.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 education.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Previous cleaning experience, including experience in patient care areas.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job and work in environmental elements.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft programs.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, demonstrate teamwork skills, logical thinking, and self-motivation.
