At Best Towing, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Recovery Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position with an estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required to work 35 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty recovery operations, including mountain driving expertise and professionalism in customer service. They will also have experience with tow trucks and be proficient in operating GPS and other navigation equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planned or adjusted routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions;
  • Addressed customers' complaints or concerns in a professional manner;
  • Operated and drove straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely;
  • Inspected vehicles regularly, ensuring tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment were in good working condition;
  • Performed emergency roadside repairs and performed brake adjustments as needed;
  • Kept accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption;
  • Tarped and ensured the safety and security of cargo during transportation;
  • Transported and handled hazardous materials safely.
