About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Caregiver to join our team at Jessica Di Federico. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and attention to infants and children in a private home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare.
  • Work Setting: The Child Caregiver will work in the employer's home, providing a safe and healthy environment for the children.
  • Tasks:
    • Change diapers and maintain personal hygiene for infants and children.
    • Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas according to the parents' instructions.
    • Assume full responsibility for household duties in the absence of the parents.
    • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
    • Discipline children according to the parents' requested methods.
    • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
    • Keep accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, adhering to all necessary safety protocols.
    • Organize activities such as games and outings for the children, promoting their cognitive and social development.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering the children's dietary needs and restrictions.
    • Prepare infants and children for rest periods, ensuring a smooth transition to sleep.
    • Supervise and care for children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
    • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, offering comfort and reassurance when needed.
  • Security and Safety: The Child Caregiver will undergo a criminal record check to ensure a safe and secure environment for the children.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available for the Child Caregiver to commute to and from work.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: The role requires repetitive tasks, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
