Business Auditor Role at Cowan Insurance Group

Cowan Insurance Group is a leading independent insurance brokerage and consulting operation, providing real value to our clients. We're seeking a highly motivated Business Auditor to join our team and contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct personal insurance operational and quality file reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess business risks related to client files and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Senior Auditors, Trainers, and Leaders to ensure effective compliance and quality.
  • Provide feedback to staff members and leaders on audit results and recommend training needs.
  • Research and provide recommendations on workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting on internal audit projects.
  • Review insurer audit findings and compliance requirements to ensure alignment with our policies.
  • Collaborate with Senior Auditor, trainers, and Leaders within the organization to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years personal insurance experience.
  • RIBO License or ability to obtain.
  • CAIB or CIP designation an asset.
  • Experience in auditing operational processes to ensure effective compliance and quality.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize audit results in clear, concise language.
  • Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and email.
  • Experience using EPIC, an Applied Systems broker management application, an asset.
